All models of Mighty Mule® E-Z Gate Openers are “Do-It-Yourself Kits” that are designed to be easy to install yourself because no electrician or any welding is required.

The Mighty Mule® E-Z Gate Opener DIY kits include almost everything you need to complete the automatic gate opener installation; including an informative installation video and manual.

The Mighty Mule 500 Single Gate Opener (FM500) and Mighty Mule® 502 Dual Gate Opener FM(502) kits are both solar compatible, an excellent choice for remote locations. The Mighty Mule® 250 (FM250) Gate Opener is NOT solar compatible.

Mighty Mule® E-Z Gate Openers will work on ALL types of residential, estate, farm and ranch swing gates.

The Mighty Mule® E-Z gate opener (FM500) is designed for a single swing fence gate up to 16 ft. long and up to 500 lbs.

The Mighty Mule® 500 Single Gate Opener (FM500) is a heavy duty, commercial grade unit that is very easy to install. It has upgraded commercial features such as "soft start "and "soft stop" that will extend the life of your gate hardware and gate opener. Another feature is the extra large control box that is prewired for an optional second battery. (We recommend a second battery for solar applications.) All these advanced features are contained in a easy to install, "Do it Yourself" kit. The Mighty Mule® kit includes a helpful installation video and detailed manual so you can install it yourself!

The Mighty Mule® 500 single gate opener is compatible with all Mighty Mule accessories including solar panels.
